Default best laptop for 1-tabling and/or lecture notetaking

I'm looking for CHEAP, PORTABLE, and RELIABLE. No fancy schmancy stuff. What are my best options? Dell or otherwise?

Default No Super Computer Needed

Poker and word processing software is not extremely resource-intensive. There is no reason that you “need” a p4, 3 ghz, 200gb, 1 gb or RAM, etc. Half of these specs is more than sufficient.

Local computer shops usually have good deals on used/new laptops. Ebay is always an option.
