First of all, I really want to thank you for your graciousness in doing all that hard work and sharing it with us for FREE! Same to Kross, inventor of GT+.

I have a couple of questions before I load in the new rules:
1. Is there a key somewhere that explains the 2 columns of numbers on the left side of the autorate rules?
2. You have 5 categories prioritized in your explanation. What should the priorities be on the other categories?
3. You say to download the new autorate rules as a text file. I don't know how to do this, nor do I know why I should do it. Does this somehow allow me to enter all the new rules automatically? Plese elaborate, if you get a chance.

THANKS AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would like to Thank you Excession as well.
Keep up the good work.

Skinner

You should use these autorate rules if you play NL.
The rules already in PT are mainly for fixed.

How I imported them
was copy and paste the new rules into my notepad.
Then save them

Then import the saved file with poker tracker

This tells me what to do--unfortunately it doesn't tell me how to do it. I don't even know what my notepad is. I thought when I copy with right-click, it was saved into notepad; but you say copy and paste into notepad. Oh woe is me, I am SO confused. I'd just enter the new rules manually, as I did with the previous set, if I could just get the answer to the priorities question--AARGH!!!

Thanks for these rules. I don't know why you are doing it but thanks.

LOL - I'm doing it in a spirit of rational and scientific enquiry - how else are we all going to keep learning? That is the point of these forums after all...

Reading endless hand histories that start 'I have no particular read on Villain' and seeing the first answer start'it depends'..
or books written by B&M old timers that still claim only 1% of players win money and are mostly stuffed with good ol' boy anecdotes about games that bear no relation at all to online low stake play..

These just don't do it for me -...

If I don't publish these on sites like BTP and 2+2 I get no feedback. If I don't get feedback from players the rules don't improve...and I don't learn as fast...

If I want to maximise my progress I have to publish my thoughts for peer review - that's how the engine of progress works..if I'm going down the wrong path then I'd rather a better player pointed it out now.

If a player armed with my rules takes some money off me at a Party $100 table then so be it - that's a price I'm happy to pay to give something back to the community that helps me and improves my game..it's going to be a marginal effect at best I suspect...

Does anyone know if its possible to have 2 sets of rules on P.T. and switch them as needed. I play both N.L. and limit regurly so if i import thes rules then i guess i would screw up all my limit ratings (i think) ? Any help is greatly app. Also thanks for the rules. Jay

I think yes

You need to have more then 1 database.

I think for each database you can have a set of rules
