Default Multiway pot, big bets and a baby set

The table has been generally passive with many people limping in to see the flop. SPecific reads below.

Ultimate Bet No-Limit Hold'em, $.50 BB (10 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

UTG+2 ($28.70)
MP1 ($27.40) - SLA (30/8/4)
MP2 ($21.65)
MP3 ($16.15)
Hero ($47.50)
Button ($47.55)
SB ($24.05)
BB ($81.50)
UTG ($8.75) - Recently sat, bought in VERY short
UTG+1 ($75) - Rock, 18/3/1

Preflop: Hero is CO with 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
UTG calls $0.50, UTG+1 calls $0.50, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, MP1 calls $0.50, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, Hero calls $0.50, Button calls $0.50, SB completes, BB checks.

Flop: ($3.50) T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(7 players)</font>
SB checks, BB checks, <font color="#CC3333">UTG bets $3.5</font>, UTG+1 calls $3.50, <font color="#CC3333">MP1 raises to $17.5</font>, Hero ???

The short stack in back of me doesnt worry me - he's gonna push, no doubt. The rock already called a pot sized bet in EP. The SLA - who knows?

WWYD?

I push. There are lots of draws out there- there was also no raise PF, so I think we can rule KK,1010(usually) out of the hand range.

There are, however, a significant amount of possible straight/flush draws out ( [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img],A,J,etc). I push now and not have to face a scary turn.

all you can eat baby.

You are likely up against a draw and possibly two pair...KT most likely. I think a set of kings or tens is unlikely due to there being no raises preflop...unless you are staring at a whiffed limp reraise. I'd get the money in now every single time.

I had a feeling you guys would say that. I just called. Button folds, SB folds, BB folds, UTG calls $4.75 (All-In), UTG+1 folds.

Turn: ($50.25) T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players, 1 all-in)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">MP1 bets $9.4 (All-In)</font>, Hero calls $9.40.

River: ($69.05) A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players, 2 all-in)</font>

Final Pot: $69.05

MP1 shows down KTo taking the top boat.

Any chance my push would have moved a SLA off top two?

this is just a bad beat post.....no way a push moves him off top 2...nor do you want it to. He has 4 outs on the flop you want the money in now...unfortunately you got the money in drawing dead....once I saw that second ten fall on the turn i knew you were beat before i looked at the results.

Unfortunatly, I had that sinking feeling too... but had to go for the $9 into a $60 pot... if nothing else drawing to my 1 outer.

At least its nice to know that I played this right. Or at least as right as I could.

Well, the consensus seems to be that the push was the right plan but moving the villian off his cards wasnt going to happen for the $9 he had left... so although I should have pushed... there wasnt much difference.

Personally, I might raise preflop.
