Default what do i do here?

What do I do in this situation? I think I made the right play but I would like to see what you say.

Blinds $50-$100 NL

95 people remaining out of 195

Hero [J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]] in the BB (Stack $2700)
Everyone folds to the SB (Stack $4000) who calls.

Flop [J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]]
SB bets $100, Hero raises to $200, SB calls

Turn [A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]]
SB bets $200, Hero raises to $400, SB reraises to $600, Hero ....

Thanks for the help.

You need to make up your mind as to what your going to do. Your either slowplaying your trips, or your playing them aggressively...but what your doing here is extremely weak.

Your flop play needs to either be a call, or a much bigger raise.

You have no idea because your not gaining any information off your play, that's my point.

If you raise the flop here to 4-500 and he raises. Yes you are probably beat. But you min-raised him.

I don't care what he has, he's not folding to that.

I agree with ZB you're playing the hand really weak, but now, you should just call the turn. If a scary card came on the river A,K,Q,T you should be prepare to call. Any other card (dif from J,5 of course) if he bet 700 or more you call. If he bets less than that, you raise. If he checks you bet about 800.

Case in point.

Let's say I'm in this hand with you and hold 2-7os. I caught no piece of the flop, but I decide to bet out 100 chips to see where I am in the hand, and you raise me the minimum to 100.(I would never do this..but anyway)

I would still call you. Solely based on table image.

OK. I agree with your criticism. You make an excellent point. Having said that, with the hand playing out like this, how did I play the rest of the hand?

Hero raises to $1000, SB raises all-in, Hero Calls

River [2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]]

Hero shows [J, 5]
SB shows [Q, 10]

Was I really pot commited here?

would have just called the re-raise on the turn because he's using the minimum raise logic the way you're suppoped to. If of you miss the river and he goes all in you have a tough decision to make, but maybe he'd feel you're trapping your boat so he may only bet half your stack or something, at least leaving you with some chips after this hand.
