Default Bringing laptops into cardrooms and using them while seated

Do card rooms allow players to bring wireless laptops into the room and work on them while at the table playing cards. Maybey have a wireless internet connection and have an online game going at the same time while playing at the table? Anyone seen anything like this?

i am sure they wouldn't allow that. they don't allow you to talk to your cell phone. And forget playing online and live at the same time. You aren't that fast nor coordinated.

Bull, you might want to check that signature. I believe it's "You can skin a sheep many times but fleece him only once". It's an understandable mistake though.

I've seem lots of folks talking on cell phones at the table in California. It's a been a few years, so things may have changed. I remember talking on my cell phone in a $75/$150 lowball game, but a couple of weeks later not being allowed to use it in a 10 cent/20 cent game in Florida because I might be cheating. The potential profit wasn't worth the air time to cheat.

I thought it was, "you can shear a sheep many times, but skin it only once."

LOL Inthacup, that may be the "proper" saying. But you see, I live in the South (USA), and this is our homespun version. You CAN sheer a sheep for wool, can't you? Besides, my way is a little more homey, don't you think?

Or I could change it to:
"A pig gets fat but a hog gets killed"

What da ya think?

I am not sure, but if memory serves, Granny once posted how she brought in a small convection oven, ran a 75 foot extension cord and baked a bundt cake while playing pot limit H.O.E

BTW I have seen someone playing online at a home game
