Can anyone give me a basic idea of heads-up stud, I've never played. Like if you started with (JQ)7 and your opponent raises with (xx)T, how do you normally respond?

I think Greenstein is clearly the better player especially at 7 stud.

LOL, where do you guys come up the info/knowledge needed to make these assesments? There is nothing CLEAR about it to me.

Oh, and I'm rooting for Danny 'cause i think barryg1 is the most egotistical, compensating, backhanded-commenting prick I ever saw on TV and read in a message board. (Yes, even more than Danny and Phil H.)

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't mean that he is a huge favorite, just that he is clearly a favorite. The reason I say this is because Barry Greenstein has won more money then anyone else in cash games in the last decade. Since the year 2000 there are estimates that he's one over $20 million playing high-stakes cash games. Also, many of these high-stakes cash games are of the 7 card stud variety. Furthermore, most people agree that those who beat cash games are better card players than those who beat tournaments. And in my opinion Daniel N. is mostly just a good tournament players, don't get me wrong though because I'm not saying Daniel isn't a good cash game player. But what I am saying is that if Daniel and Barry never played tourneys there'd still be alot of players in the poker community who'd know Greenstein but NOT Danny.

HU stud is incredibly complicated, much more so than HU hold 'em... and the decision between calling and raising here is situational, and also dependant on the ante/bring in/completion ratios, not to mention the strength/aggresivness of your opponent, etc, etc... there is no one right answer to your question.

And of course Daniel would say he wasn't outplayed when Barry beats him. He says he got unlucky. He gave credit to Oppenhemier and to Cassidy when he lost to them. But when Barry beats him he will not give the credit. Maybe this has to do with there past history? How Daniel dislikes him and wants to beat him so bad! And would probably never admit Barry G is a better player even if he thought Barry G was better.

Would you bother even reading what DN said about Greenstein before ponsting? Daniel Negreanu: "I think Barry Greenstein is a better 7 card stud player than me...just not hu"
