Re: NY Post article about \"Illicit NY Poker Scene\"

[ QUOTE ] Does anybody else here, besides NJChick, realize how bad this publicity could be? And who is the genius who gave his name to the reporter? And in a 3-6 game no less???? [/ QUOTE ] The reporter knew who he was long before the 3/6 game, he was used. I'll explain to you personally, I'd rather not discuss this in detail here. TT [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] [/ QUOTE ] If the Manhattan DA's office decides that this is too embarrassing to ignore any longer, then Madison will be the first person to receive his very own subpoena. Just terrific.. |

[/ QUOTE ] Morganthau's gotta be a card player and he's untouchable. If it's not a "quality of life" nuisance I think it will blow over. Rudy's not in office anymore so vice is nice. |

But I am intimately acquainted with his office and I sure as hell hope that they still think that poker clubs are a non-issue. |

I sure as hell hope that they still think that poker clubs are a non-issue. [/ QUOTE ] Amen. PS: For the record, Boomberg is a known poker player... but I don't think that would help protect us in any way. The more articles are written, the greater the chances that more raids will occur. Contrary to what some people think, this is not a "grey area" in the law. It could be challanged and we could win... but it would take great resources to do so.
