Default Looking for Southern Fried Advice

I'm meeting up with my wife next month in DC where she is facilitating a conference. I've always wanted to show her the part of the South that I love the best. So, my plan is to fly down to Pensacola Florida and drive the I-10 west through Mobile, New Orleans and on to Lake Charles, then drive back to New Orleans and fly home from there. The feedback I'm looking for is twofold:
1. Where would be good places to stop and play low limit hold em'?
2. What would be good places to see / experience along the I -10?

Oh yeah, I've never played B&M poker. Will I get an edge if I let my Boston accent rip at the tables down there?

Thanks in advance for feedback,

/M

So your favorite part of the South is the I-10 corridor?

I'd probably take her to Miami if she always wanted to visit Cuba, New Orleans if she'd like picking transvestites out of lineups, Houston for a sneak preview of Hell, and San Antonio for that South of the Border feel.

My favorite part of the South is the Skyline Drive/Blue Ridge Parkway around October.

Hey, I'm with you. I really like the Fla panhandle and Louisiana.

For low limit, try the Grand in Biloxi and Harrah's in New Orleans. Girl friends love New Orleans (bean yeas and coffee at cafe du monde, Jackson Square, Commander's Palace, ...).

We southern boys have heard Boston accents before (on TV ), and they actually like tourists in Biloxi and New Orleans.
