Purchase to delivery time from Dell
What has been people's experience with how long it takes from day of online purchase to when it hits your door assuming you didn't pay extra for faster shipping.....

My 2001FP = 5 to 7 business days (I think).
I ordered a laptop in 2003 and I think that took about a week or two longer, but that may have been to due availablility. Regardless, it did show up 3 or 4 days BEFORE they said it would.

I've been buying Dell for home and some biz for years. I've not been disappointed yet. Usually they set there delivery schedule one way and then beat the heck out of it. Example: The last two full systems I bought had est. dilivery of 5-7 business days. They both arrived on the 4th business day. I haven't bought anything in the last 5 mo. or so though, so I cannot attest to how it is now.

In my experience their estimated date or delivery is pretty far off. When I ordered my 2001FP it came a week before they said it would, my girlfriend ordered a desktop and it arrived 3-4 days early, and my dad ordered a laptop and it came about 10 days early. They were way off everytime, but hey, early is much better than late.
