Do any sites have nanolimit 7-stud?
I want to learn it, but can't really afford to do so, even at .25/.50 (unless I pick it up fast). I don't think there would be much value in trying to learn the game with play money, but I suspect that maybe .01/.02 or .5/.10 might be just right for me to start on.

Stars has .04/.08 stud and stud8 games. (.01/.02 games don't make sense, they'd need antes less than a penny.)
Good luck. |

I don't understand why they don't make the dealer post in the small games. That is standard (at least according to PPLP), and better than a huge ante.

Perhaps they'd have to add more to the program if they wanted dealer anteing?
(Note: just a stab in the dark) |

Re: Do any sites have nanolimit 7-stud?
Paradise and Stars have $.02/$.04.
You'll never learn to play proper stud on these tables where it costs an entire $.20 to call all the way to 7th street. You'll find that most of these games will have 4 or 5 players drawing to 7th, which means someone will hit a flush or straight after being way behind on 5th street nearly every time. One way to learn, is to play the $.50/$1.00 no ante game at Paradise and play super tight (doesn't cost to see the 1st 3 cards unless you are the "bring-in"). You can probably start with $50 (minimum deposit in most cases) or so. At first, play only big pairs, 3-straights and 3-flushes, then mix in a few others once you start to feel comfortable. |

Absolute Poker has some decent $.10-.25 tables with a .02 ante I think. It's probably a good place to start.

[/ QUOTE ] I learned how to play stud at the .25/.50 PS tables, and believe me, you won't need a large roll to start off with. Most of the players there are terrible, and as long as you are less terrible than them, you'll win. Lots. As long as you read 7CSFAP, deposit $30, read 7CSFAP again (esp. starting hand selection; read it 5 times before logging a hand), then start playing, you'll be a winning player. |
