Default Small pot - is it worth it?

UTG is 16/10/2.5 I'm sure he would have raised anything with a king in it preflop.

CO is kind of laggish. I considered betting the flop but didn't want to get raised by a pocket pair or ace high.

Why did you call on the flop. Do you think your Jack high is good here? You def are not getting the implied odds for ur backdoor flush. Are you trying to set up a bluff ( )

I don't hate it, but unless CO has been running over the table and snapping up every pot no one shows interest in, I don't think I'd bother calling the flop.

There's a good chance you do have 6 pair outs plus your backdoors, though. You may also be ahead of CO, but what do you plan to do if you don't improve on the turn?

If I decided to contest the pot, I think I'd begin with a flop lead, planning to call a raise if it comes from the LAG and see a turn.

By the way, once you improve on the turn, I wonder if it would be better just to continue check-calling.

Basically I think the odds of anyone having a king are pretty low. Wouldn't a king slowplay in a small pot like this? I figured 2-3 outs for my backdoors and 4 or 5 discounted jack and ten outs, plus the fact that CO would probably bet any two cards here.

I see the case you are making for calling the flop here, but this play seems speculative overall but its not a bad way to vary your play if thats what you're going for

Yeah, I hate it when I make a great hand like Jack high and get raised and villain shows me A high. Nothing worse than value betting 2nd nuts when behind.

Seriously, I will just give up on this flop. Problem is: the only way to grab this pot is bet out on the flop and hope they both fold. But you can't really bet out because it kind of really smells like you don't have the King since you'd be way ahead on a draw-less flop and want to trap them for bigger bets later.

One of your limpers is likely to have a small/med PP and the CO just may have a King, in which case he is in position to really mess with you.

You are OOP in a tiny pot with no pair and only backdoor draws. Muck-it.

Even if it checks around and a Q or a d falls on the turn, pot is so tiny you don't have odds to chase your draw.

Once you've called the flop and paired your J, well then you may as well bet/fold the turn and c/c the river.
