1 or 2, but I think they are by accident.

depends on how bad swings are. this last month I hit a 300bb downswing so I took like 5 days off or so.

I take 5 or 7 days off from playing limit online to play live no limit. I take about 4 days completely off from poker a month

I always take the first few days off if I feel the previous month burned me out. What usually happens, I put the pedal to the medal in the last week, so when the new month rolls around I am underslept and exhausted. Taking a few days off and recklessly spending money will be a good way to start October imo.

I agree, i just bought a 55 inch sony LCD tv. I am trying to take some more days off, i typically take off maybe 2 per month, although i only got in one in September. I think aiming for 4 is a good goal for me.

This year, days in which I've played neither live nor online:

Jan - 7/31
Feb - 8/28
Mar - 8/31
Apr - 2/30
May - 5/31
Jun - 1/30
Jul - 4/31
Aug - 6/31
Sep - 7/30

Total to date - 48/274

Also fwiw, March and June were my best months of the year so it's not surprising that I was more willing to play daily those months (I was in Europe for Spring break so that accounts for every day off in it). Likewise, January and February and August sucked and they are at the high ends of my months with days off.

7 And I think they are important. It's like recharging your battery even though you don't feel like your battery is winding down.
