Re: Another Hand Post
My Opinion:
You played it OK. Just try to get a feeling for the current pot odds -- (your hand’s expectation with respect to the current situation, namely the: preflop; flop; turn; & river). Remember that on balance for four way action; that when you win: you win about three times as much when you scoop a pot relative to splitting the pot. In average or tight games and three way action; you don't win much when you split a pot. In two way action, you usually win essentially nothing when you split the pot. Also…. Don’t get trapped in the middle when you sense that your hand can’t stand a raise. Get a feel for the type of players around the table…. Learn how to adjust your playing style to the type of game you are in – especially if you are lucky enough to be in a juicy live casino (cash) game. |

Re: Another Hand Post
PP,
I think I would play this the same way. I like the preflop limp. We don't like the flop for the low, but this isn't a flop that will hit anyone else either, so I like seeing the turn with the outs to the high straight. Turn gets rid of your low, it isn't a heart, it doesn't help your straight...throw it away. That's how I would have played it. Dave |
