Default Fantasy Football KEEPER Picks

Anyone doing a keeper league?

Thoughts on picks? I dont mind getting rocked this year if my team shows promise.

Lee Evans. Ron Dayne. Almost all of the New York Jets.

Hahahahhaha. What?

To the OP, how about some more info. How many teams? Drafting from scratch? How many players will you keep?

If it's a dynasty league where you keep a full roster, then it makes sense to spend early round picks on younger guys like taking Kevin Jones over a Tiki Barber or Jamal Lewis, and grabbing guys like Cedric Benson and Carnell Williams early. If you're only keeping one or two keepers though, then there's no reason to completely ignore the older guys.

How much does it burn you that Erasmus James went to the Vikings (or Darren Sharper, for that matter)?

I'm a NYer, not a Wisconsonite...

But I was devastated when the Bills picked Lee Evans last year. Jets take Vilma: I jump for joy. Bills take Evans: bad, bad draft day.

In all seriousness, I protected Ron Dayne last year.

Didn't.

I'm in a very deep keeper league -- we protect up to 22 players. Scoring is TD-heavy and we don't pick our starters really. (It's complicated.) It looked like Coughlin was going to use Dayne as a goal-line back, so it made sense to keep him.

Rest assured I will not be making that mistake this year.
