Default Suited AK-where did I go wrong?

10+1 MTT
down to last 75, 40 postions paid
Blinds 150/300
Relevant stacks:
UTG+1- (6700)
Hero in MP (4200)
CO - (1750)

UTG has been aggressive lately, stealing several pots. has raised from EP with small pp and med suited connectors

CO- calls everything. Has seen the last 6 or 7 flops and has called down some real crap (i.e. gutshot draws). he hit a couple of sets in the last 30 min so he had a huge stack which has dwindled down to almost nothing.

Pocket Cards A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
UTG+1 raises to 600
folded to Hero in MP
Hero raises to 1200
folded to CO
calls 1200
button and blinds fold
UTG+1 raises to 1800
I don't like the min raise here by UTG+1 but I feel compelled to call. (Should I just push here?)
Hero calls
CO calls and is all-in

Flop:
J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]10 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

UTG bets 2000
(just over 1/3 of the pot and just under 1/2 of his remaining stack)at this point I figure I need to hit my draw to win but given his agressiveness and an undercard flop he cold easily be playing JJ or QQ which would give me
the A and K as outs as well.

Hero pushes (2400)
Turn 10 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
river 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Should I have shoved Preflop? folded to the min-raise? did I just play this helplessly bad??
