Most service contracts are crap. Refuse them all and pay someone to fix it if it breaks. You save money, the corporations don't get the juice and the "little guy" computer shops that are in your neighborhood make a little money.

A better option is to just go to the little guy in the first place. Anyone who wants to stay in business WILL take care of you. Dell/Compaq/et.al. don't care about you, they really just want corporate contracts.

One difference is Apple (this is being typed on one). Good software, great hardware and top notch support. Too bad the machines are too expensive and won't run poker software.
