Re: NWA can suck my balls
[ QUOTE ]
Usually, when someone gets frustrated in a dispute like this, I tell them, "Hold on, now. Take a deep breath. And try to look at this from the other guy's perspective." In this case, the other guy is the airline. Now, you call them up, and tell them, "I've bought a round-trip ticket, and my seat will be empty for the first leg. You have my permission to sell this seat to someone else, for all you can get for it." Now, they don't want to do this because....um.... I have no idea why they would have a problem with this. [/ QUOTE ] LOL, when I started reading your post I was like, "oh good, someone is going to give me a good reason why I am wrong and I will be able to get over this..." You totally got me I have no idea why they have a problem with it either. It makes no sense. I hope they don't have a problem with losing any future business I may have given them. |

I agree with you. It totally sucks. The airline industry blows. NEVER FLY AIRTRAN. |

Next time: Fly home on Tuesday and back on Monday (Thanksgiving week that is). This will save you a ton of headaches.
You can miss class, believe me. |

Re: NWA can suck my balls
How about this one:
Last Xmas I flew Seattle-Pittsburgh-Cleveland (why we went further east than Cleveland i have no idea, but the fare was good) to visit my family. The return trip was Cleve-Pitt-Sea. Well my wife's family lives in Pittsburgh, so we figured we would skip the Cle-Pitt and get on the Pitt-Sea; makes sense, right? Wrong. For the same reasons they told you, they wouldn't let us do it. Bastards. So we were forced to DRIVE from Pittsburgh to Cleveland to board a flight to...Pittsburgh. The height of irrationality. KJS |

Re: NWA can suck my balls
[ QUOTE ]
A good way to find out if its the law or just NWA's policy, ask the person on the phone if you can speak to their supervisor. [/ QUOTE ] What will usually happen is phone operators will act as "the supervisor" for each other. Even if you get a supervisor, do you think they will make an exception for you because you were clever enough to speak to one? Time permitting, it is best to go to the company website and send them a detailed email. (And yes, NWA is one fo the worst airlines ever). |

Re: NWA can suck my balls
Yeah, those of us in the Twin Cities are held hostage by these bastards. I wish they'd get Southwest in this market. NWA would change their ways in a hurry with that kind of competition.

Re: NWA can suck my balls
I've found three little words that make dealing with a problem on the telephone much smoother:
"What's your name?" Try it. It may not solve your problem, but I guarantee that you'll notice an abrubt change in attitude. And if you still can't get your problem solved, try these four words: "What's your supervisor's name?" And when you get the super, ask him for HIS boss' name. |

Good luck not getting a fake name or getting hung up on.
The days of customer service are over. |
