Re: Standard with QTs ?
[ QUOTE ]
someone said raise the turn and fold to a 3-bet. i think that sucks too because it sucks to fold a clean 2 to 5 outer when you don't have to. [/ QUOTE ] I'm raising because I feel I'm very unlikely to get 3-bet by anything less than trips (in which case I'm drawing to only 2 outs), I want the PFR out of the hand, and I feel I have a decent chance of taking the pot down immediately with that turn raise. |

Re: Standard with QTs ?
I'm going to differ from others on the turn. I think the advice to raise the turn is CRAZY. After leading the flop and getting raised, the pre-flop raiser again leads out into a field of FOUR people on the turn. There's no way he's doing this with overcards or a pocket pair lower than tens. He probably has a big pair and you're likely drawing to 5 outs at most but more likely 2 outs. And that's just against the villain! There's still TWO calling stations in there who you have to compete against. I don't like it one bit. I think raising is almost surely spewing and although the pot is large even folding the turn isn't unreasonable IMO. Curse yourself for getting involved with this hand in the first place.
