Advice from Internet and Casino hybrid players
I don't really get to the casino much as the closest one is 6 and 1/2 hours away but this weekend I am going to Tunica. Now, I do have some casino play in so I am past all the beginner stuff...but here's the question?
I am used to playing 2/4 3/6 5/10 6max tables on Stars and multitabling...what limit do you reccommend for B&M play and also to avoid the slow down factor of playing one slow table? I figure some of you encounter this all the time. Normally when I go I play 3/6 4/8, but with the rake so high I feel I have to play higher.Any suggestions or advice? |

Re: Advice from Internet and Casino hybrid players
If you have an adequate roll for 5/10 6max than play the 10/20-15/30 games live. Competition wise you would probably face similar players in a live 20/40 game as you do in an online 5/10 game.

I could swing like 1,000 bankroll for the weekend. Probably playing a little short, but I figure if I have a downswing I can always drop down to 4/8

Re: Advice from Internet and Casino hybrid players
Personally, I multitable 5/10 and some 10/20 now, and I play 10/20, 15/30, and 20/40 live. If you don't play live a lot, playing live can be a nice opportunity for "taking shots" because the players tend to be noticeably worse at the higher levels and because you have more information at your disposal. I think a fine rule is that if you are adequately bankrolled to play an X/2X limit game online, consider playing a live game in the 2X/4X to 3X/6X range.
Given your online play I'd recommend trying 10/20. |

Re: Advice from Internet and Casino hybrid players
I do not think there are any hard rules. however, it seems you do not play live much so the difference between sitting at home in your underwear and taking a bad beat in a big pot at 15/30 is enormous. Live play really requires some different skills than online. That being said, most live games even at this level have some unbelievably bad players. Good luck.
