Default ok isolation raise?

villain vpip is ~60% and is passive to avg. postflop.

converter is crapping out. 10 handed. Villain calls in UTG+1, I raise in CO with K9o. Blinds had tag stats.

If they are not very good TAGs (aware that you isolate) it is a very good move. Even if villain has a better hand than you, his lousy postflop skills will still make it +EV.

Wow –

Most all like this raise. Interesting. There are going to be so many better spots to beat this player. As my sarcastic picture indicated, I think it’s a really really thin raise. I don’t understand why you want to isolate here with King High. If’s he’s loose passive, I’m going to expect a lot of calling on the flop and probably latter streets.

I'd probably need a little more then K9o to isolate. I would fold this one.

I don't play K9o with someone else in the pot ahead of me, regardless of his stats. K9o pretty different than KTo, since it offers no straight possibilities. Many times you'll end up outkicked when you do hit your K, since your limper could be limping with KT, KJ, KQ.

I think it's a pretty risky move.

I agree when you're isolating someone really loose you need a hand with good showdown value, and I don't think k9o is good enough. Also, if those guys in the blinds really are TAGs, they're not gonna let you continue isolating if showdown that k9o.

This move 100% depends on the level of the game, the players left to act, and the blinds.

In most cases I would think this is not correct.
