Default What site is better for recreational poker play? UB or PP?

In my recent online poker career, which I restarted a year ago after not playing online for a year, I put $100 in UB and started playing 25NL with $10 buy ins and was quickly down to $60, then stopped playing.

After a month, I put $200 into party poker, ran it up to $400 playing 25 and 50NL 6-max and $11 sngs, then yo-yoed for six months, ending with a few bad weeks at NL50. Ended with $0

I took a break for a month, then went to UB and began playing in only .25-.50 A-5 TDL, $5+.25 heads up sit n goes, and $1 buyin, 1,000 participant MTTs. I took my $60 up to $120, never cashing in any of the 20 or so MTTs that I played in.

I took my $120 down to 60 tilting at the $5.25 hu-sngs. Then the other night I put $1 in an MTT and my third hand-99 sucked out against JJ and AK...........two hours later, I had my AT sucked out when JT ran it down with a straight (all in pre flop) and I finished it 4th, putting my BR back at $120. (I would have had a shot at first, $221!)

So should I keep my money at UB, or should I switch to Party poker? UB is tight, accept for the MTTs.

The 25 and 50nl 6-max is much loose at PP than UB. Although PP gets less soft everytime some weak tight trout starts 8 tabling waiting for JJ+. Other than the 10+1's, PP doesn't have any interesting games that I could beat (I dont think...would it be worth learning an omaha variant?)

UB is UB: tight, but a good place for people who like variety, and good MTTs.

Where would you play if you were as good as me?

I just recently started this week playing on UB for the first time in 50NL (.25/.50). I don't think it's tight at all. Last night I was playing 3 tables and 2 of the tables stayed at over 30% seeing the flop and 1 table stayed at over 40% for the 2 hours I played on it. This is also factoring in my VP of about 12-14 weighing down those averages.

UB during this past week seemed a little tight on some tables but that's where table selection becomes key.

I say use both... playing a UB bonus on $50NL has turned into about 58% rakeback for me. Not great as far as bonuses are concerned but it's better than nothing and released constantly after you leave a table. Then when Party has a reload, bounce on over there and play off as much of the bonus as you can afford.

Bonuses are great for newbies because it gives you a coushin so you can lose money while learning, but not actually lose as much (or maybe not lose at all).
