Default Wynn Poker/ Space/ Negligence

[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ]
Remove a few poker tables! My biggest issue with Wynn is the space allocation. It feels like there is less space between the tables at Wynn than at the Mirage, or any other poker room in Vegas for that matter.

[/ QUOTE ]

This shows a complete lack of understanding of the casino/poker business. A place like Wynn is incredibly expensive. Because of that, every square foot of gaming space becomes precious, and it better produce it's share of income or it will become something else.

One of the problems with poker when compared to other casino games/machines in these ultra-expensive casinos is simply that it doesn't produce the same amount of revenue per square foot (assuming the other casino games/machines are being utilized).

But something unique has happened today. A lot of people want to play poker. Therefore places like Wynn have included a pretty nice poker room. But if it doesn't produce it's share of revenue per square foot, it will be gone. If anything the right advice is to do those things that make the room the best possible because that will fill all the tables, and then squeeze in a few more.

Mr Malmuth, Mr O'Mally,

I agree that they should remove some tables from the wynn poker room. I do understand that the per foot price in that casino is at the highest premium.

How ever There is a safty factor and a litigation factor involved. IF there ever is a true fire emergency people will likely get seriously hurt trying to escape from that cluttered space through trampling or simply by tripping or falling over the extra chairs and the dining carts. Also trip and falls either legitimate or fraudulent should be a real concern to the managment.

One successfull lawsuit over a trip and fall will likely set this room back more than they can make up for in Profit in a fair amount of time. In My opinion it is absolutely ripe for Legitimate or fraudulent Trip and Fall lawsuits. In my opinion negligence[1] exists due to the managments knowledge of this unsafe condition.

This is the reason why you can't simply "Squeeze in a few more"

I have written more about my concerns on RGP if you care to read them.

What compels people to take quotes out of other threads and start another thread about them?

Why didn't you just respond in the original thread? Theree's a whole discussion going on in there about Wynn issues.

Probably ego. "I know some people stopped reading that other thread, but my observation is so brilliant that they should all read it, so I'll just make a new thread."

It's just like those stupid programmers who think their program is SO AWESOME that it should run in the background on your computer all the time, since you're obviously too stupid to decide for yourself.

FWIW, this seems like a way to really jack up the EV of my next B&M trip.

when I worked at the ----- with the life safty department of the construction division my headache box was located right next to security. so we heard all the poop from the renta cops about which lawsuites were going where.

in the short time i was there they had 5 basic injury type lawsuits going. who many got settled for a monitary sum for the plaintiffs.

Ah... 5

One the ones going on was when A customer got rammed into by a rolling kiosk owned by a subcontractor. the casino paid off in six figures.

change carts and maids carts rounded out the other 4.

I head somthing about some other slips but nothing to report here.

so you are pretty wrong about who gets sued and how successful they are at defending against them.

In fact their SOP is to settle ASAP.
