Default How stupid this play is?

$200 max 2-4

I had just played only 5 hands when this hand came up. I had 79 suited in utg+1 and open minraised to 8. Everyone folded to the CO who made it 30, button called. I called 22.

Flop came 10-6-2 rainbow with 1 of my suits. I move all in for 130. CO thinks for 45 seconds then calls. Button calls also. CO had Q-10 suited. Button had AK offsuit. I thought I could push them off.

In hindsight, I think I shoulda made a blocking bet of around $18 and fold to a raise.

When you don't have a read on one or in this case two players, don't believe you can push them off of anything. You'll lose a lot of money that way.

usually blocking bets are reserved for the river, ie when there are no more cards to come

and 18 dollars in a 90 dollar pot isn't going to do much. your hand belonged in the muck the moment you were raised playing this short.

Fold prefolp from early position and certainly do not call the raise, you are not deep enough for this to be a profitable hand. Once you made it to the flop - check/fold.

1. Don't minraise preflop.
2. Don't play 97s UTG+1 in an aggressive game.
3. Don't call a big preflop raise with a drawing hand out of position.
4. Don't call a big preflop raise with a drawing hand with a small stack.
5. Don't move in with a gutshot draw against two opponents who have shown a lot of aggression.

Did I miss anything?
