How long ago were you waiting for the book 37? I cleared the AP at the start of Decmber and am still waiting. Every time I ask livehelp on the site I'm told it has been sent out and should be here shortly, that it takes longer to reach some locations than others. Just wondering at what point I should kick up a stink?

Thanks

You could keep an eye on eBay. This one just sold yesterday.

Don't panic, aces. The PLO section's pretty worthless for picking up anything new or interesting. Nice shiny black cover tho'.

Yeah, I've heard the PLO section is worthless, and I may not give anything in the book more than a cursory glance, but I have a 2nd edition SS that I paid a bunch of money for and would certainly feel much better with its twin next to it.

I'm a little embarrassed to say this, because I've seen so many complaints on that site from people still waiting, but I contacted them the moment I reached 10K AP and then again 1 week later. The book took 2 weeks to arrive from the day I cleared it. From what I understand, that is very unusual for them. I live in NJ.

It is certainly worth that price to me, however I want a copy tomorrow, not after you finish playing 10,000 hands. Gimme, gimmee!

I know it's your money, not mine, but you'd pay over $100 more for a hard cover version of the book? Amazon has it for $23.07 and if you find an extra $2 worth of stuff, you can get free shipping.

I know why you want the hardcover. It's because they work perfect as book-ends for your shelf of poker books.

Different strokes for different folks. I don't buy Magnavox and I don't eat at McDonalds. I also drive a shitty Kia and buy my clothes at goodwill. Point being, things have a value to people beyond their ticket price. And the hardcover edition of this book is worth more to me than perhaps anyone else on this site. . . and it makes a great bookend I'm told.

It's my understanding that if you own SS it's not worth it to get SS II. Doyles sections are basically a rehash with the same hand examples and many of the other sections (specifically jennifer h's) suck ass.

That's a shame. I was going to treat you to a Happy Meal when you get to London next month. Oh well, your loss.

Gonna mail me your itinerary any time soon bro?

Guy.
