Default Mailman took change off my front porch

I work from home. Today, I was sitting on the couch(5 feet from the front door). While I was sitting there, the mailman came to deliver the mail. My mailbox is right next to the front door, hanging on the exterior wall, so I could clearly see what he was doing.

He put the mail in the mailbox, then bent over and picked up about $.75 in change that was lying on the porch. It was there because I was sitting in a chair on the front porch last night and the change had fallen out of my pocket.

Is this stealing? The front porch is definitely on my property, so it's not the same as picking up change on the sidewalk. However, it's not as bad as if he were to take the change from my couch cushion or something. If it is not stealing, what is to stop him from taking the chairs and table that are also on the porch?

What do you think I should do about it(if anything)?
