Is online poker and online gambling legal?
a friend told me it wasnt

i was under the impression that there were no clear-cut laws on internet gambling yet.

The laws of gambling are state/local specific. I'm at work and can't get to most of the sites, but I think the one below might have more info. I had a chart that listed each state and the different legalities of open gambling / home games / online.

Look at it this way. Senator Jon Kyl of Arizona is trying to enact legislation that will declare internet gambling illegal. If internet gambling was currently illegal, why would he do this? Because it is not currently illegal.
