OK I understand what you two are saying. Against these players I would take the passive route without a set. Against weaker players I certainly would have fired out again had I found myself setless on the flop.

As far as AA/KK go, I would have raised more with 2 limpers. This means I should raise my pp's similarly, which would then be worse given my stack size. Correct?

So, everyone on 2+2 is really obsessed with mixing it up, but I'm going to tell you something: In these capped buy-in, live games, unless the game gets really deep - you have no reason at all to mix it up. Limp your PPs, raise the bigger ones and AK - AQ sometimes, and wait. It's boring as hell, but that's how you beat the game - just wait for the morons to come to you, and play your big hands fast.
