Default getting media info when I play a CD

I'm using WMP10 (don't ask why or suggest alternatives) and when I pop a CD is it usually auto-gets artist info, track info etc. It isn't doing it anymore. I've ticked all the options in "privacy" to on (most of them anyways) and still nothing. I re-installed WMP10 from m.s.com website, and nothing.

What the hell's going on?

Open WMP10 click Tools-->Options-->Libray Tab-->"Automatic media infomation updates for files" Make sure "Retrieve additonal info from the internet" is checked. That should do it.

It has also been freezing frequently in the last 2 days.

It slows way down, then stalls, then comes back about 5 minutes later. I click somewhere, and it stalls again.

I've had WMP10 for ages and it's never happened before...why is it doing this?

It's a Microsoft product?

It's hard to say. Try this: Go to www.pcpitstop.com and do a Full System Scan. it will tell you where your memory leaks are, if you have a virus etc. That would be your best bet.
