Default Kid walks up today...

I'm on the floor today and a young kid walks up to the podium with these on ---> and asks if we have 10-25 or 25-50 cent poker. On the inside I'm laughing. I reply, we have 1-5 stud, 4-8, 10-20, 20-40, 1-2 NL, and 4-8 Omaha with a half kill. He reaches for his wallet, puts $10 on the counter, and says I'll take the no limit. I've been trying to go to sleep for an hour now and I keep waking myself up laughing so I felt the need to share.

Reminds me a bit of the old W.C. Fields film where he sits down in a poker game and asks, grandly and with great self-importance and emphasis, for "one hundred dollars worth of chips." And of course they give him one chip.

Thats when you point to the computer and say..."Sorry son, thats the only place you can play those limits". I am sure he thought when you said 1/2 NL that you meant 1 cent 2 cent. We get those types in my room all the time. They hear 1/2 and are like ..."Omg 1/2!!!" and never hear the No limit part. They get in there, and are broke in 3 hands because they call everything down no matter what the bet size.

What is the min buy in on 1/2 though?

Everytime I hear the floorman saying "$30" to someone, you know it's one of 'them' asking for the minimum 3/6 buy-in. Don't think they sit down very often though.

You just can't make up stories that are funnier than real life.
