I almost never raise with Axs with x under T, but that's me.

I raise a lot more than you.

The reasoning to see how much a raise people call/fold to is very very important in Tournaments (especially late when blinds are big and blindstealing is very important) but not in CG imo.

It's much more important/valuable to be consistent so observant opponents can't have a clue if you got AA or 65s, especially if you are LAG.

I raise the same with 56s and AA, but not JJ or TT. Maybe it's because I'm uncomfortable playing these hands postflop (see my thread on 99).

Good post,

My experience is that 4bb+1bb/limper (+sometimes little extra from the blinds) works Very well at Party nl400 6max. One upside is that when I raise that ammount (instead of "your" 3bb+1bb/limper) is that I often just take down the pot which I like because I raise pretty much preflop (about 15% on avg.).

Do you think it's a good standard for nl400, and should I adjust it when going up to nl600?

A little OT maybe but I almost always raise emmideatly without hesitation with a delay of 0,5 to 3 seconds.

I think you should try to not overthink this issue

Seriously, do it until it stops working; then change it to something that you think will. If it doesn't, change it up again. Trial and error is the way to go.

Are you sure? I don't want to boast or contest you in anyway. But how many % of the pots do you raise preflop?

Damn, that's much.

Stick to one table or tighten up a bit preflop.

Does everyone agree that SSNL players are so observant you should bet the same preflop with all hands?

I think that's the best approach, at least at NL100 and above. But that's not only because players are "so observant" it's also because it simplifies things for the player and it becomes less risk of doing big preflop-mistakes.

If everyone folds to 4BB raises, then I'm raising to 4BB with trash until someone notices.

For what its worth. I raise 5xBB + 1 for limpers. After about 3 - 4 of these raises, people start calling. Usually, it allows me to establish a LAGgier image and to tighten up when someone adjusts. I don't find to many tables where people fold very long to 4 or 5x raises.
