Default Odds to Call with Overcards on Flop

What odds do you need to call with overcards (with no backdoor flush or straight draws)on the flop or turn?

There is no easy answer to this question becuause the odds you need to continue with this weak draw are so dependent on the texture of the flop and the person who is betting this flop, and how aggressive the people are behind you. If you want to learn more about these situations read the playing overcards chapter in "small stakes holdem" or read the overcard chapter in "middle limit holdem" These two chapters are the best information you will find on playing overcards in my opinion.

If you are certain that hitting your overcard will win, you have 6 outs. Or roughly 8:1 odds. Seldom are overcards worth a full 6 outs.
