Default Lucky Chances

Does Lucky Chances still have a drop on the button in low limit games? I know the Oaks Club got rid of their time charge and was curious if Lucky Chances has done anything like that. Was thinking of going there today.

The chances takes $3 off the button and takes $1 from the SB and puts it in the bad beat jackpot... I think. To my best recollection, this is the same for $3/6 and $6/12...

Last time there, we were taking the blinds back if folded around...

I'll be there today playing either 3/6 or 6/12. Yeah they have a drop on the button ($3) which sucks but what can you do...the softness of the games are worth it imo.

Hey Brad, I'm in the Bay Area once a year, usually in the summer, to visit college friends. Are you around in like August for some LAG fun at LC? CDC, bakku and Bison were there last year.

FYI The Oaks did not get rid of their time charge. They just rake $3 from every pot - unlike Lucky Chances which forces a $3 blind bet.

Interestingly, Bay 101 in San Jose switched to an Oaks style time collection recently.

Bay101 only switched from a button-drop to a time charge in the 20-40 game. Higher limits were already a time charge; 8-16 and lower limits (where the button drop was live) changed to a traditional rake.

This made the 20 at Bay 101 an incredibly good deal with the autoshufflers in there.

???
Right. Which means they got rid of their time charge where they collected $3 every half hour from everyone. This benefits a tighter player.
