Default What would you do?

I was making a rare appearance at a B+M casino, playing $3/6. At the end of my night, I was UTG, with exactly my original buy in (including tokes). I remarked to the dealer (loud enough that everyone could hear) "I'm exactly even, so it'll take one hell of a hand for me to put money in the pot." (I know this is dumb but I did it anyway). Of course my cards were [expliative], so I folded. On the way back to my room, I asked my sister what would of happened if I caught a monster (probably QQ or better) and entered for a raise. She said she'd probably reraise with a decent hand, knowing that: 1. Most people like to play hands, especially if it is thier last chance to do so, and 2. Most people use deception in their table talk (the old "strong means weak" type of tell). So I'll put it to you: assuming you had a reasonably strong hand (such as AQs), would you fold, call, or reraise an UTG raise in this circumstance?

THis isn't a general question. THe question is what would you raise with, or limp with? Then I decide what I'll do, some people like to gambol it up, they need the action, others are happy to get even and want to go, others are leaving but they play plus EV situations because were they finish at any given time doesn't mean much.

ect,ect

firstly, i almost always 3bet AQs in a limit game. if you used this line when sitting down then there is simply no question.

if someone uses a line like that at a table, he is almost certainly a tricky player or at least tries to be. this is especially true if the player is a young sharp hotshot and not some 50 year old drunken rich guy. my 3betting standards will broaden a little bit here against you because of this reason.

im not going to just assume that youre going to openraise with any 2 just because i think you used a reverse psychology line. you said something that no good player would say at a 3/6 table when first sitting down so i will assume that i can drastically outplay you postflop and therefore will 3bet you liberally.

of course we are sitting at a 3/6 table where i am going to be able to outplay the table postflop so i am going to liberally 3bet against anyone that i feel has reasonable raising standards. if you are the guy who never raises anything but group 1 hands then of course i fold.

if im sitting in a 3/6 game im probably drunk and its because im here to donk around and will be 3betting like a maniac. however, if we assume that im trying to play my best then this will be my reasoning.

What is the point in playing if you are more concerned about leaving than making money? If you feel like it is time to go, then just leave, don't look at the next hand no matter what your position is.

Sure, you could get Aces, but then they'd get cracked and you'd end on a down note.
