4) January will be what it usually is... A fish drainer. They will all have spent their extra cash on christmas presents and Party will likely lose more players from this than stars will.

[/ QUOTE ]

This point is completely without merit. How will Party lose more players than Stars due x-mas spending? Do you think Stars players don't celebrate x-mas? Do Christians only play at Party? Or do you think all of the Stars players are atheists? I also disagree about January being a down month. It was one of my biggest this year. Once the weather gets cold, many of the fish that spent the summer watching their children play baseball will be inside. Online poker is great way for them spend a cold day inside.

I'm guessing he means Party players are more likely to need to deposit money (which they won't have due to Christmas) while Stars players will have thier bankroll already on the site (in other words, Party has more fish)

how does a site consider prove itself that it is the largest? # of accounts or average number of users logged on throughout the day?

This is probably the reason party allows 10-tabling now. It beefs up their players figure in the lobby.

Actually, I think they when to 10 tables to generate more rake and keep hardcore multi-tablers from having to play at Party and another site at the same time.

However, I'm sure that as more Party players experiment with playing 5-10 tables, Party's player count will increase.

Basically, the 10 table feature will inflate the player count, but I doubt that was the primart reason decided to allow 10 tables per player.

When they were largest Paradise used to call itself World's Largest. When Party zoomed past them the changed to World's Premier Poker Room

Either was they (Paradise) would be a great case study for the marketing textbooks on how to totally screw things up.

Actually, I think it just beefs the active tables figure. They still count 1 player as 1 player, and stars does the same. I could be wrong.
