Default QJo against TAG stealer

Villian is 24/16/2.5, with 40 ASB.

Mainly concerned with the turn here...

Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (6 max, 5 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is SB with J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP raises</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero 3-bets</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, MP calls.

Flop: (7 SB) J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP raises</font>, Hero calls.

Turn: (5.50 BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP raises</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero 3-bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP caps</font>, Hero calls.

River: (13.50 BB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
Hero checks, <font color="#CC3333">MP bets</font>, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 15.50 BB

I like the donk against this aggressive tag, AK and QK will raise it again allowing you to 3 bet. Since you took control preflop he certainly has something he likes so no way is it gonna scare him off. The only concern is that if hes aware that your a thinking player or if you been playing somewhat tight he might find the brakes netting you 2bb instead of 3 when you c/r the turn.

Um, fold preflop.

The rest looks reasonable.

Maybe bet/call the river if he's on the agressive end of the TAG spectrum

How exactly is a 24/16 guy stealing when raising first to act? Even though his ASB is high, I don't see any TAG trying to steal from this position - I don't even think PT factors open raising from any seat that isn't the CO or button.

Postflop, you line is fine. I think the stop n' go then bet/3bet line is the best way to get the most bets in, since you're usually way ahead and it's a great way to exploit overaggressiveness. After the cap, its an easy call getting 14.5 to 1.

The converter is retarded. MP=CO 5 handed.

Sweet hand. Well played.

Even so, don't you think this is really thin against a TAG CO open at 3/6... lotsa rake...little showdown value...etc.

since this is coming from the guy who folds every hand preflop, 3betting here must be +EV.

but i generally dont do it. hands like QJ with no inherent showdown value suck OOP, since if you miss you're essentially gonna have to check/fold on some street if your opponent doesnt fold.

also you cant be very far ahead of his range. i steal a TON in the CO and QJo is still a 55/45 dog hot/cold wise.

here's my approximate range in the CO

equity (%) win (%) tie (%)
Hand 1: 44.2660 % 42.35% 01.92% { QJo }
Hand 2: 55.7340 % 53.81% 01.92% { 44+, A2s+, K5s+, Q7s+, J8s+, T8s+, 97s+, 87s, A5o+, K9o+, Q9o+, JTo }

F, nevermind. I didn't read the limit. Rake is higher, pot odds are lower. Fold pre flop.
