Default TD 2-7: slowplaying #4

BB is a chaser. He is more than willing to draw 2 at the end and value-bet 98's on the 4th round. Heck, he called three bets from the big blind on a later hand and drew 4.

My notes on 'A' suggest he is overaggressive and somewhat loose in terms of hand selection. He will stand pat behind with Ts and 9s in many cases. But, he is much more likely to fold to a raise than BB.

Given those reads, what do you think of the 2nd round smoothcall here? In the end it worked out great, but because BB is going to call me all the way to the end anyway, would it be better to get money in sooner?

I think I play it the same unless I think that it will send red flags flying to these guys. They don't seem like that type, however.

I like it. I'd put you on a 9 and play the hand the same way the villian did (except maybe I can fold the river).

Seems like a pretty easy/standard hadn to play.

I dont know if I really like the cold call on 2nd. I think your going to get called down here no matter what you might as well raise here and bet out the rest of the hand and get that extra SB in the pot, once you stand pat you aren't going to get to put a raise in on the later rounds.
