Default Not so good on early streets, raise on 5th

I think I should have folded this hand on 3rd; would you guys 'defend' here or not? This is Party 1/2. Comments on all streets welcome.

On 5th I felt like I had a golden opportunity to knock out two better high hands and try to survive against the low. Good? Bad? Pot too small?

Checking 6th: I assumed I was up against a made low or a high with very good draws to beat me or make a low.

7th: I value bet after hitting my donk full house. Rest of action not shown... Because there was no bet on 6th, my read was that I wasn't actually up against a low. Would it have been better to try to induce a bet here from a worse high?

I was very confused about my opponent's holdings throughout the hand.

7 Card Stud High-Low ($1/$2), Ante $0.25, Bring-In $0.50 (hand converter)

I probably would not defend here. The guy with the 8 up raising indicates a good low starting hand, and 2 of your spades are already gone on 3rd street. You really hope that you catch really well for a low and everyone else catches really bad. Good job of getting it heads up on 5th, but I think I would bet 6th with Jacks up hoping that the person going low possibly paired.

I'd fold 3rd, 4th, and 5th. Having reached 6th, you definetly have to bet since seat4 didn't raise 5th. River is an obvious bet.

I muck 3rd on, wait for better spots you know?

I don't play partys structure though, interested in what others have to say.

Muck third. It's not close.

A good case can be made for folding fourth and fifth.

This hand is a decent example of why I often click “Fold to any bet” when I’m the bring-in. That tends to keep me out of trouble.

I think Andy B has said that he plays fairly tight in Stud/8 no matter what the structure. At lease that’s the impression I got.

From here

Recently, I’ve played a few hours at Party’s $1/$2 Stud/8 and feel I did the best when I maintained tight play.

fold on third for sure! why are you playing this there are two players in and with an A after the raiser it is less likely he is stealing. glad it worked out though.
