Read the title.
I'm just posting a view which I may or may not believe. Just putting it up there before the shills have us all believe that online sites are paragons (sp) of virtue |

Re: Just to play Devils Advocate
What I've always find weird about those docs is that PriceWaterhouseCoopers actually sign their documents with "PriceWaterhouseCoopers" instead of the name of their representative...heh. But, whatever.

Re: Just to play Devils Advocate
Yeah I find this strange. How does that work in law. Are the whole company responsible collectively from the people who make the coffee to the CEO, or no-one.

Re: Just to play Devils Advocate
PriceWaterhouseCoopers is a limited liability partnership. Thus, each partner is responsible for his or her own actions, as well as the actions of those he or she supervises. Senior partners and management are responsible for the actions of everyone.
PWC is pretty much the same as Arthur Andersen, the public accounting firm that went down with Enron. Partners not directly involved or in a supervisory manner were not responsible for any lawsuit payments, but, if the lawsuit payments were paid by the firm, and there were ordinary and necessary business expenses that had not been paid, all partners would be responsible for those. I am not sure why the lead partner in these engagements didn't sign the report. I interned at KPMG (another of the now big 4 public accounting firms), and a partner always signed the tax returns that I prepared. |

Re: Question for the \"This @#% is RIGGED!\" crowd
Well. I absolutely do not believe the game is rigged. I Have been involved in some hands that left me so angry, distraught, and bewildered that it would be easy to believe something sneaky was going on. Of course, I lost those hands .
For instance: I'm playing 1/2 limit holdem to occupy my spare time while I'm in a tournament. I catch AA in MP, and raise the pot. button re-raises and I cap. Flop comes A-9-2 rainbow. I bet, button raises, I RR, Button caps. Turn is J. We cap. River is K. I check/call Button shows Q-T I got so steamed that I busted out of the tourney in a bitter rage! LOL -Casey |
