Frustrated with river fold, help.
First hand at this table, so no reads.
(sorry, hand converter doesn't work for Full Tilt) $1/2 NL Full Tilt 9 players MP2: Villain ($262) CO: Hero ($200) SB: ($162.65) BB: ($42.60) Hero posts $2 Hero Dealt [Js Jc] PreFlop: all fold to Villain who calls $2, Hero raises to $8, Villain calls $6. *** FLOP *** [3h Qs 7c] Villain checks Hero bets $10 Villain calls $10 *** TURN *** [3h Qs 7c] [Ad] Villain checks Hero checks *** RIVER *** [3h Qs 7c Ad] [8c] Villain bets $28 Hero folds (well I asked for that) This hand annoyed me. In hindsight, what does Villain have here? Probably not an Ace (he didn't raise preflop, and why would he call on flop with only an ace?) He might have a Q, but wouldn't you raise my flop bet with a Q? I think an under pair like pocket 88-TT hence the preflop and flop calls. Did I fold the better pair here? What do you think, is this as routine as I think? I would bet the turn to represent the ace and be done with it if played with, hopefully get a free river. |
