Default ToP vs SS2

I'm getting these 2 books for Christmas. I mainly play limit HE, but have been playing some limit OH8. Which one should I read first?

Thanks

ToP

I have read both and I can't really recommend SS2 to anyone who wants to learn holdem, I suppose if your interested in learning the less played games, a short section on tells, and internet poker, or a waste of space on the world poker tour, I can recommend SS2.

If you want to learn holdem, I wouldn't even have SS2 in the top 10 books at this point (I don't know if it is in the top 20), it can actually do more harm than good....

Thanks, kind of thought ToP should be the choice to help in my HE games, but I do want to learn some for OH8 and maybe even some 7cs. I might skip the HE sections of SS2 then and just check out the other poker parts.

You obviously don't play NL hold em.

Don't listen to morons, if you play NL hold 'em and want to get better, read SS, one or two, they're the same. I can't speak for the limit section as I don't play that game.

"Play Poker Like the Pros" has an Omaha 8 or better chapter.

I have read SSII. I thought it was pretty good. I am not sure which you should read first, but I would recommend reading the O8 section in SSII right off the bat. It will really help you if your just starting off.

Actually everything except the limit hold'em chapter in PPLtP is pretty decent for introductory texts. If someone wants to take up O/8 I'd probably start them off with Helmuth.
