By the way if i see this play from you, I'll note it down that you can be kicked off hands are PFR'ing the flop and WILL TAKE NUMEROUS shots at you when holding reasonable hands.

You are taking metagame way too much in to effect here. Just because hero folds 1 flop after raising preflop doesn't mean people will A) necessarily notice this and B) think he does this so much that can start taking shots at him.

Here are some poker stove numbers, with the SB having any hand with a queen, A8, A7, 87, 77, 88, and any OESD. Calling down to the river we need to put in 2.5 BB to win 7 BB and win 26% of the time to break even.

Board: Qd 8s 7c
Dead:

equity (%) win (%) tie (%)
Hand 1: 28.0992 % 28.08% 00.02% { JdJs }
Hand 2: 71.9008 % 71.88% 00.02% { QQ, 88-77, AQs, A8s-A7s, KQs, Q2s+, T9s, 87s, 65s, AQo, A8o-A7o, KQo, Q2o+, T9o, 87o, 65o }

I can't imagine folding this readless regardless of the limit.

this is definitely getting shown down if I'm playing it.

anyone want to debate the merits/pitfalls of 3 betting the flop, betting the turn, and checking the river, and getting to showdown that way? gets us to showdown cheaper, unless of course a J falls.

seems like 3 betting the flop is better against a Q or a draw, but is worse against an 8, 7, or PP.

Just some thoughts.

The problem is that there is no guarantee that it is going to be a cheaper showdown when we are behind. You never know when the villain will donk the turn or river with a Q. Also, it is pretty rare villain is check-raising this flop with a draw.
