Yeah, I really hate this situation. I feel like villain could be doing this with 99,TT, or a pair of 8s, so I call down and am never good. [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

I don't think this is super-standard. If I'm in villain's spot, I might well c/r with second pair, or a straight draw. This kind of play is pretty common at 5/10, perhaps less so at 2/4.

I need some kind of read before I give up that fast.

Definetly not standard. What do you check raise with from the SB? Surely not only top pair or better? If I had a good read, I would fold, otherwise I am calling down.

I don't think you should hate doing this. Even if it ends up being super standard, sometimes it is not. I think our biggest leaks are those which we think are standard, and do time and time again. The interesting hands which we normally post are good, but don't come up all that often, so are not as helpful to us as the standard hands. This is why I think you should make a video, and post it.

I would have to call down also. I would c/r in this spot with less than top pair. Push out MP and on this board hero may well have missed.

Although this is true, the average player still check raises with worse hands to our JJ enough of the time to allow us to call down.

hehe. the part that i hate is not asking super-standard questions, it's folding JJ on a flop with one overcard. i've posted a few videos in the past, and i will prob post some more in the future. thanks for the kind words though.
