MP1 (t3635)
MP2 (t905)

<font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP1 raises to t60</font>, MP2 calls t60, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, Hero calls t60, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>.

MP1 checks, MP2 checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets t175</font>, MP1 calls t175, <font color="#CC3333">MP2 raises to t845 (All-In)</font>, Hero ?

There seems to be some conflicting sentiment on making calls lately. At least that's how I've perceived some discussion. Let 'er rip.

i've only played a couple 55's on stars, but the play wasn't that good. this looks like pushing a heart draw, i think you have to call.

i can't see a compelling argument for folding here in a 55 against unknowns.

To add a bit of input before the "call" camp reaches ridiculous numbers:

I folded, and MP1 called. MP2 flipped over KJ and I felt good. MP1 flipped over AQcc and I felt like an idiot. Then I started thinking more and more.

MP2 has a bet and a check call in front of him, likely little folding equity and he isn't phased. I was just having so much trouble putting him on a hand. I mean I don't think people are bad enough that including J's in their range makes sense enough of the time (and I've consistently doubted the skill of 55ers), so then we start looking at TP No K+ or FD's. Plus we have MP1 still to act.

Bah... this is a call. Writing it out I'm starting to think that. The conformation bias from making a good fold has likely biased my analysis, but if anything, seeing MP1's hand should have made me realize why it's a call.

I agree with the above, but I also think it's a call. A close call though and only because you get good odds. I don't know which 55'ers everyone plays but checkraises often mean strenght and I wouldn't be a surprised to see a set from villain here.

I read

and I was gonna say something but then I got to

[ QUOTE ]

Bah... this is a call ....

[/ QUOTE ]

and decided that I don't need to say anything after all.

why can't u put him on KJ or a set? i'm more paranoid than most and can't say i'm a great player but i would have folded too. i've seen those kind of bets before and TPTK just doesn't cut it often enough.
