I dont see what the big deal is at the Bellagio anyway, but they seem extra grumpy about this stuff. They made it pretty clear that they were not "the bank of Bellagio" and that if I wired money to them that they expected to get some table game play out of me. They threatened to cancel the credit line they just issued me if I sign a marker at a table and then pick up my chips and go elsewhere. And they won't use the credit line to back up a check I write at the cage, even if its from the same account that they have on file.

Stupid.

This is standard stuff. They want people to play in the pit not the poker room. Poker is offered in hopes that you will play something else while you are there. If you make it clear you are "poker only" they have no use for you.

When I set up a line of credit with Harrah's and the Mirage, they were very explicit about this in the agreement. It stated that the line was not to be used in the poker room or sports book. In addition, they make it very uncomfortable to "withdraw" at the window. In fact, I was convinced that it wasn't an option. I thought I had to sit down at a blackjack (Craps, etc...) table to access my line by signing a marker. Every poker trip started with a massive attack on their blackjack pit. Sonetimes, it was an awesome thing. Sometimes though......well you know.

The bottom line is that you need to just do a wire transfer straight to the casino and be done with it, so you don't have to be their bitch.

I am not sure why they are making a big deal about this. I have wired money to other casinos without any problems. They gave me the wire instructions and when I showed up at the cage they made me fill out some forms and then they gave me my cash. Why wouldn't they want to be helpful in bringing cash to their casino? The Bellagio is being stupid.

because you need to repay the marker. let's say you take a marker for 5K. run it up to 7K and then try to leave. you dont walk away with 7K. you sign off your marker and take 2K.

You can get it right back in the pit, but that's not necessary. I've gotten ahead, colored up, and settled my marker(s) at the cage when I'm leaving. Never had a problem doing that in AC or LV.
