I was under the impression that this is a live hand. Which is why I think the tendency for the button to bet is increased. Them live players CAN"T STAND not betting when it's checked to them last to act.

I've played live in Vegas, AC, quite a few in between, and some in Ontario and now Alberta. Live players are more passive than online players. So I'm not sure where you get the idea it's the opposite unless you've only played only in LA which from what I hear is pretty laggy.

I'm what many would call weak-tight. I consider myself conservative.

In the hand the flop does not appear draw rich. So what calls your flop bet? Flush draws and maybe overcards or AT, KT, QT, JT, A5s, A2s.

The turn completes the flush and is an overcard to your pair. You're in worst position. I don't think check/fold is bad.

But I guess you through away the winner - hence the post?

i don't know...the river went bet/fold, so i didn't see whether or not i was good...i just felt like i should have either bet and folded to a raise, or check called down. the river was a complete brick, and when the button didn't call the end (which he did with any piece), i figured i was way ahead of him at least...just a hand that pissed me off and i wondered if i was being too conservative.

With very loose players, you got to bet this. If neither is bluff happy, bet-fold turn, bet-fold river. Value betting is the way to go against these players. At least thatīs my opinion (and Millers I guess..).

Against passive players I bet/fold.
Against TAGs and especially if they are tricky I
tend to check call this down.

I know I would take a stab at the pot with a somewhat good heart and any pair. I might fold out the other player and Hero might be on high cards since he showed weakness.
If I don't improve I take a free showdown and hope my pair is good.

Anyone likes this?

Can you ever be too weak-tight? I think not.
