Re: bump
I'd raise the flop. The fishy often just has a high spade. There's always the chance that the board pairing corrupted a fishy twopair, too.

Re: cap this flop when fish get aggressive?
i'd prefer to raise the flop because it's possible fish has something like A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J ? and I'd like to charge him for it, but I'm not so certain I'm ahead that I want to raise the turn, and I think calling down after the flop lead is probably too weak.

[/ QUOTE ] Yes, but you're an underdog to A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J and probably an underdog to the range of hands in general a very passive player bets out with here. |

You are actually a slight favorite over A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J.

Re: cap this flop when fish get aggressive?
I fail to see how a hand which has 12 outs against me but is currently behind is a favorite.

Re: cap this flop when fish get aggressive?
I like the entire line. The fishie's threebet on the flop doesn't neccessarily indicate a made flush, IMO. I have seen many a fish do this with top pair here. Especially if your playing TAG then a fish will think that your raises never mean anything because all they see are the raises, not the cards that go with the raises. Seems to me like a good place for a wa/wb line. good hand

Re: cap this flop when fish get aggressive?
13 outs (3 aces, 2 jacks, 8 spades) so it's close to a coin flip but that's only one example. Sometimes you're the one drawing. And when you figure in the chance of being 3-bet it just seems to me that calling the flop is better here.

Re: cap this flop when fish get aggressive?
IMO, you are ahead here often enough to maintain the initiative on this hand. Rushing to give a flop bettor credit for an A high flush seems ridiculous.
If he 3-bets you, you slow down. |
