Buy the monitor... I prefere to build my bankrol by playing poker. It will not take long to win the money, for you to step up in limit if you have the knowlig and experience to do so anyway. And if you do not have that then you should stay at the limit you play. And it is more fun to play at a monitor that do not overlap.... Also it is nice to give yourself something nice sometime with the thinking that this is something I will be able to do more often when I get beter at poker!

If you whore you need the BR to get max bonuses.
Whore your ass off get you BR to $2500 and buy it ASAP though because it will save your eyes. I have a CRT and my 2001fp side by side there is simply no comparison when it comes to eye strain. I can barely look at the CRT anymore. You never really notice what the strobbing does to your eyes until you don't have to deal with it anymore.

I found a 15" CRT that I can really only use to do things other than playing (surfing for instance). My video card actually has a DVI output so I was able to use a DVI-VGA adapter and not have to buy a video card (although I did, will have to return it tomorrow). So I kind of improve things without spending money. I agree that you need a full bankroll to knock out these bonuses.

As long as you've got some desk space I see no reason to spend $600 on a good monitor, this isn't 1997.
