but if he is behind your hand on the preflop, and misses (assuming non A flop), and checks. then you have a new problem. Do you lead without an overcard? what if you are called behind?

[/ QUOTE ]

Then you play poker with what is most likely the best hand.

Again I think you should call. I would play carefully after the flop with an overpair and not be afraid to laydown the hand on the turn if he fires two big barrels.

I think you must raise here. Even though everyone else must give respect to his utg open and your call (if you did that), i am fairly sure that there are enough good players left to act that you JJ will not be a powerhouse after the flop. Reraise to thin the field. Dont let a good player in the big blind hit a dry flop and catch you with an overpair. Besides, you may be ahead of UTG's range now, bc of that AT hand you described. Reraise to 13k, and be prepared to play some poker in position. If others come in, then youve got your work cut out for you.

I'm going to take a shot in the dark and say you have a limit hold'em background?

With an M of 10 and all these players behind you as well as the read on villain, is folding an option?

not really, altho that is precisely the line to take in limit. I almost always play shorthanded NL. Guess im not used to full table dynamics. I see the value in calling. My inclination to reraise (ive figured out) is my fear of playing this hand on the flop. So the more experienced players want to call, and i can see the value in that.

Default RESULTS: Bellagio 5 Star ME hand

again I feel like I screwed this hand up, I felt he was strong, his mini raise and tight image helped me draw this conclusion, but I decided I wanted to define/confirm his hand...

I made it 15k, he plays with his chips for a few seconds and I knew what was coming next, he graps a stack of 5k chips and puts me all in, I fold, he shows AQs as if it were two wild cards, I dont think he thought he was bluffing...

feeling after that was that I read him for being strong, he thought he was strong, but he was just clueless as to what strong really was
