that's what i was thinking...the bombers got a run in the third and i told my wife the sox were in real trouble with just giving up one. johnson's one of the few yankees i dig too - from his stint in arizona - i don't know what the hell happened there.

the worst (IMHO) was the pitch to konerko - that was an 0-2 count pitch!

i havent been watching baseball for that long relative to some of the older people on this board, but ive never seen such a good pitcher start off so well and have an inning like that. this is definitely the first time randy has allowed 3 let alone 4 HR in an inning.

People who are saying Randy pitched badly that inning are mistaken. His location was bad on maybe one of those home runs, at most. The Konerko and Widgett ones had great location and Johnson was dominant in the other 7 innings.
