Default My first poker trip to vegas

I've been to vegas a few times before, but now I'm 21 and I like to play poker, so this time should be different.

I play mostly on the internet now, but I used to play out at Hollywood park Casino a little bit. I feel pretty comfortable playing live (posting blinds, acting in turn, picking up an occasional tell, tipping) so I'm not too worried about that.
I multitable party, absolute, and ultimate bet 2/4 and 3/6, and feel comfortable shorthanded as well as at a full table. I'm just wondering what stakes in vegas are appropriate for me and where I should play.

Here are my considerations

-Quality of games

-Good staff so I can get a seat quickly

-Good food/drink service, although I won't be drinking alcohol

-Low rake (including jackpot drop)

-Comfortable seats

Thats about it. Anyway, I was thinking of bringing ~800 dollars and playing 5/10 or maybe a limit thats slightly higher but still lower than 10/20. Do they have 6/12 and 8/16 there? I probably wouldn't end up playing higher than that, and I might bring more money than that.

I still have a couple questions

-Is it true that vegas players are better than SoCal players?

-In the Casino 3/6 is kinda like .5/1 on party poker. Whats 5/10-8/16 like? I've never played higher than 3/6 live, so I have no idea what games higher than that play like.

Best regards,
Snowball

5/10 is hard to come by, but you can find 6/12 at times at the MGM or the Mirage. I'd really recommend the MGM, as there are a lot of young kids who don't really know how to play limit, plus they have a wide range of games from 2/4 on up.
The Bellagio and the Wynn have 8/16 games. The play to me isn't too much different than their $4/8 games, although with less newbies at the table.
I'd say if you're playing $3/6 online you probably won't have too much difficulty playing what you've mentioned in your post, provided your bankroll holds up/is up to it.

The Aladdin runs the only regular 5/10 game in town now. It is also a full kill game which makes it even more juicy!

I just recently went to Vegas. Only "higher" limit game I played was the 4/8 at the Mandalay Bay. And I played 2/4 at the Luxor.

The Bay 4/8 played a little tighter and more normal than the 4/8 I played at Commerce, which was just wild wild wild. 2/4 is bad wherever you go. I ran bad the whole weekend but the players are pretty much on par with SoCal players, although I only played at 2 tables, so I can't really give an accurate assessment.

The Bellagio and Wynn both have 4/8 and 8/16. Mirage spreads a ton of limits. MGM is mostly lower limit with 2/4, 3/6, and sometimes they get a 6/12 going. When I went to vegas I played at the Bellagio, wynn, Alladin, Mirage, and MGM. I'd suggest that you try at least a few out if you can.

I played about 20 hours of 8/16 in Vegas a couple weeks ago and can offer some comments. I found the Bellagio 8/16 to be a pretty rockish game during the day. There were lots of chopped pots and lots of hands decided on a pf raise. The table was pretty passive though so as long as you were aggressive you could make a little money. Things loosened up later in the evening although I had a number of people remark that they thought the 15/30 game was generally looser than the 8/16. I didn't play 15/30 so I can't comment.

I also put in a long session at the Wynn 8/16. This was a bit looser than Bellagio during the day and was pretty juicy at night. There was a lull during dinner and things really picked up after that.
